About the role
Reporting to the Head of Sales, the main focus of the Regional Sales Consultant will be to support the company’s overall sales objective by growing Every’s customer base and booking appointments to meet prospective schools within your specific region.
This particular region will cover the North – West and you will be required to travel extensively within your assigned area, visiting schools and trusts to provide demonstrations and close deals for our Compliance & HR software systems
The Regional Sales Consultant will work closely with the Internal Sales function (who are based in Leeds) to meet regional targets and you will be an ambassador for Every and a physical presence in regions where the product is used and where there are areas for growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Contacting a targeted number of schools within your assigned geographical region to secure meetings and sell Every’s portfolio of products
- To attend school cluster meetings to present and promote Every’s products and showcase their capabilities
- Ensuring quality of customer data and keeping CRM up to date with details of all interactions
- Work closely with colleagues across the company to ensure a professional and consistent customer experience
- Account Management of ongoing relationships with existing school customers in your region
- Attending relevant trade shows, conferences and events to effectively network and seize sales opportunities
- Working with Senior Management to discuss strategy and process improvements continually
- Collaborating with other Regional Consultants to share best practices and sales successes, offering support and guidance on sales approaches and networking
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong track record in field sales with the willingness to be out on the road for the majority of the working week. Education sector experience is valuable but by no means essential
- Technically competent and able to provide online and in-person software demonstrations to professional audiences
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to address key decision-makers and ask relevant questions
- The ability to close a sale by asking the right questions at the right time
- Target driven mindset with the ability to meet and exceed expectations
- A team focus with the ability to motivate self and others when required
- Logical thinker with an emphasis on delivering results and continual process improvement
- Highly accurate in written and verbal communication, with the confidence to present to large groups of people
- Knowledge of SPIN or other relevant sales cycle methodologies
- Full UK driving licence
